As the Internet grows in importance to Albanian business, the demand for web sites in Albania, as well the capabilities of these web sites, will also grow.  A thorough understanding of the language, culture, and business environment is necessary to accurately convey the advantages of an Albanian business.  In addition, as Albanian businesses reach out to the international business community, inside and outside the borders of Albania, a strong command of the English language and Western business practices is necessary to effectively reach this lucrative market.

These are the issues that drove the formation of AmTek Sh.p.k.  Our company offers a unique combination of talent and experience to Albanian companies interested in developing serious business web sites.  The education and experience of our principal partners are as follows:

George Russell - Mr. Russell is an American who has lived in Albania for over three years.  In addition to his responsibilities of operating  a Soup Kitchen for the Orthodox Church of Albania, George has been developing web sites in Albania for over two years.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Technology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  After earning his degree, George worked for over twenty years in the high-tech computer industry, mostly with Rand Worldwide, a company specializing in Computer Aided Design and Internet technologies.

Alma Kruja - Mrs. Kruja is an Albanian from the city of Vlora.  She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Tirana.  She has worked in a variety of businesses in her career and has served as the web master of Orthodox Church of Albania.  In addition to her native Albanian, Mrs. Kruja also speaks fluent English and Italian.

In addition to our two principal partners, Amtek employees a number of specialists in such areas as translation, graphics animation, graphics design, and web programming.  Amtek brings this dedicated team of professionals together to produce first class web sites, on time, for our clients.
